Our Family Heirloom Story

This piece of land is a family heirloom, cared for and cultivated by our ancestors for generations. We've been growing rice here for decades. But ever since construction began on the port and access roads, the backfilling stopped water from flowing properly. This flooded our fields, destroyed our crops, and cut off our source of income. Now we can't even access the fields to farm because of the flooding. This has caused huge economic losses since we can't work our land.

Given this difficult situation, we'd like to ask for fair compensation, if possible. We'd like a set amount paid to us each month to make up for our lost productivity and livelihood. Last year's harvest was excellent, but this year we couldn't harvest anything at all. The red soil mud has damaged the land and made it unproductive. The harvest is what normally allows us to support ourselves throughout the year. But since this situation started, we're worried not just about ourselves but also about our children and grandchildren. What will they do to earn a living?

Our hope is that if you can help us out of this situation, it would mean the world to us. We're suffering terribly.

The second thing is, we normally work all year round, dry season or rainy season. You can see how this pond has been filled with mud from the land, and even the water level has gone down. We used this pond for washing clothes and getting water, but since the Chinese arrived and this situation began, we can't use it anymore. Given your good intentions, please help us find a way out of this situation.
